American Spa Goes Spa-ing in Colombia
Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Colombia, a destination that has in the past gotten a rather bad rap. Recently, however, it has emerged as a hot destination for adventurous jetsetters. With a flavor all its own, the country offers charming boutique hotels, fabulous restaurants, and fascinating tourist attractions, such as the spectacular Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira and the colonial walled city of Cartagena. While there, I had the opportunity to tour So Spa at the Sofitel Santa Clara (Cartagena), Spa Las Americas at Las Americas Resort (Cartagena), and more. Not surprisingly, this gem of a country is busy growing its spa offerings. Coffee- and chocolate-themed services are just some of the local menu items spa-goers won't want to miss. Be sure to keep an eye out for an in depth look at Colombia's emerging spa scene in an upcoming issue.

Spa-ing in Columbia
Send a reporter to check out Mi Cumbia in Philadelphia. It's an organic nail spa with all water based products created by the owner herself. Everything in the spa reflects her native country, Columbia. http://www.tierramiaorganicnailspa.com/Mi_Cumbia/WELCOME.html
